Making Delft Blue art at the Royal Delft Museum
Travel in the direction of Delft. On the edge of the city you will find the Royal Delft Museum. The museum is inside the pottery factory where Delft Blue pottery has been handmade since 1653. This pottery is of high quality and known all over the world. You can not only take a tour here, where you will learn all about the history, but you can also get to work yourself. Various painting workshops are organized at the museum in which you learn to paint with Delft Blue colors and styles. Children can also participate. In the children’s studio, kids can join an audio tour in addition to the painting course.

Learn to draw like Escher
Escher in het Paleis is a beautiful museum in The Hague, located in Paleis Lange Voorhout. In the Palace you will find the most famous works and a changing collection of Maurits C. Escher. Escher was a talented Dutch artist, who became known for his works of art with optical illusions and impossible objects, such as the Penrose staircase. At the museum, you can admire some of his masterpieces, such as the Belvedere, Day and Night and Waterfall. A visit to Escher in the Palace is quite an experience where you won’t get bored easily. During the workshops for adults, you will first admire various prints and learn to cut linoleum, just as Escher did. The workshop takes about an hour and a half and is suitable for groups or families.
