Modern vibes in Rotterdam
The centre of Rotterdam was almost completely rebuilt after World War II. Because it no longer had a monumental city centre, Rotterdam has become a showcase for different building styles and bold architectural experiments. The yellow Cube Houses near Blaak and the Erasmus Bridge are just two examples of this but in recent years countless defining features have been added, such as Central Station, the Markthal and the new depot of the Museum Boijmans van Beuningen.

Since the Middle Ages, The Hague has been the administrative and royal capital of the Netherlands and the seat of its government. The Binnenhof complex as well as Noordeinde Palace or the city’s beautiful avenues, such as Lange Voorhout, all point to the city’s important role. As a bonus, hop on the tram to Scheveningen for a photo at the beautiful Kurhaus or between the pillars of the imposing Pier.

Leiden is a beautiful, historic city, with beautiful places and picturesque façades and canals. Rapenburg Canal is a good place to start your visit, with the beautiful Academy Building and the Hortus Botanicus. St Peter’s Church is just around the corner, but you’ll find that all the sights are within comfortable walking distance. Other spots for the perfect photo are Leiden Castle, ‘the pink house’ on Groenhazengracht and the many courtyards around the city.
