Cruising in the Biesbosch
Wake up in the watery Biesbosch. In the Biesbosch there is plenty to discover. This beautiful national park consists of willow forests, polders and vast waters on which you can sail for hours. Exploring the Biesbosch by boat is definitely a must. On the map of the Biesbosch you can see which routes you can sail. Your dog can also come on board! If you go ashore, however, it is obligatory to leash your four-legged friend. Want to take a break? Then you can dock at one of the many restaurants you can find in the area.

Discovering history at the Archeon
Anyone who thinks you can’t take your dog to a museum is sorely mistaken. In several outdoor museums your dog is more than welcome! This includes the Archeon, an educational outing for young and old. In Museumpark Archeon you will discover the history of the Netherlands in person. You can learn all about the period from prehistory around 8800 BC to the Middle Ages around 1350. In the museum you will find numerous reconstructions of buildings and household goods, which have been recreated based on archaeology. For a tasty lunch, visit the pancake restaurant “The Monastery.”

Had enough culture for the day? Then get a breath of fresh air at Noordwijk’s dog beach. At this dog beach, dogs are allowed to roam freely in several places. Your dog can have a great time here. Be careful though, dogs are prohibited or must be leashed in several parts of the beach. Go out with the family and stroll along the wide sandy beach and the beautiful dunes. Blown out? Then settle down at one of the many beach bars for a hot cup of coffee. Your four-legged friend is also welcome at Bubbels Beach!
