Rotterdam city sightseeing: Public transport options

Rotterdam city sightseeing with public transport? When people are visiting The Netherlands, they often opt for public transport to visit cities and popular tourist attractions in the region of South-Holland. This is due to public transport being a convenient way for Rotterdam city sightseeing and visiting other cities such as The Hague, Delft and Gouda. However, if you are travelling for a whole day you will notice that public transport can get rather expensive. Therefore, we recommend you to consider the Tourist Day Ticket for €14,50. The ticket enables a comfortable journey in the South-Holland region and grants unlimited access to ferries, buses, trams and the metro. However, if you are only staying in Rotterdam, then we recommend the RET day ticket for €8,00.

With the Tourist Day Ticket, you have an opportunity to travel to and around the second-largest city in The Netherlands; Rotterdam. Explore the dynamic global city with its many skyscrapers and impressive harbour. Besides the harbour, Rotterdam has a large collection of amazing architectural sites which you can include in your Rotterdam city sightseeing. For example, the Erasmus bridge, the Euromast and the Markthal. In contrast to architecture, Rotterdam is a great place for a shopping spree and a museum visit. Some of the most famous museums include; Boijmans van Beuningen, the Maritime Museum and the Kunsthal. In addition, you can visit the oldest zoo of The Netherlands; the Rotterdam zoo ‘’Diergaarde Blijdorp’’.
